Hell Yeah Recordings are pleased to announce they have been tempted into the reissue market. As such, the label starts a new off shoot, PERDIO (roughly meaning ‘lost’ in Portuguese) which will focus on putting out re-issues and new remixes of classic or forgotten gems. The fist one is a newly remastered instrumental version and new Francisco Dub of Giorgia Morandi’s ‘Children of the Sky’, a cover of the italo-classic “Figli delle Stelle” by Alan Sorrenti which just happened to be released 40 years ago. The brilliant , remastered, original is seven sizzling minutes of elastic Italo house with happy chords that reach for the skies. Naive melodies and keys add to the colourful effect and cannot help to sweep your heart and get your feet tapping, especially with the rugged bassline that probs it up and the big drums that help drive it along. The special Francisco Dub Edit then builds and builds leaving the main hook for the very end… when it arrives you will be sent into raptures of Italo joy.

Kamelot are one of metal’s most unique, influential and prestigious acts that blends symphonic metal, prog, power metal and world music – so it comes as little surprise that the whole metal world held its breath in anticipation of The Shadow Theory! Deeply intrigued by analytical psychology, Kamelot spent the past year engineering a groundbreaking album leaning on three pillars: The Shadow Empire (The global mind), The Shadow Key (The Resistance) and The Shadow Wall (The veil that blinds us from the truth). A dystopian glimpse at the complexity of the human mind and its place in an oppressive society – an obvious parallel to all of us, in the here and now. And most of all a fascinating and eerie backdrop for thirteen lush and artsy songs that boast Kamelot`s trademarks; yet the band steps out to add new and modern elements along with bringing in some amazing emotions that harken back to their earlier days. Produced by Sascha Paeth (Avantasia) and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, more), the theatrical and beautifully dark The Shadow Theory is not only a new chapter in Kamelot`s illustrious career, it also is their most thrilling and diverse effort so far!

In 1992, under the pseudonym JayDee he released the hit “Plastic Dreams“, which reached number-one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The song, an instrumental, featured a prominent Hammond organ-style synthesizer melody, played in a jazzy, improvised manner. “Plastic Dreams” continues to be remixed and re-released today, mostly on unsolicited white labels. The track made the UK Singles Chart on two occasions; firstly in September 1997 when it reached number 18, and again in January 2004, when it reached number 35. He now releases a great down-tempo track.

Leading from Italy It’s Vanni Bacco aka Reclame presenting his debut ep “Profumo Pungente“ on Serialism. Little is known from this talented artist but the just few releases under his belt and his discerning personality have attracted Cesare’s attention after a tip from a Russian family member and A&R Anushka. The entire record is a splendid, very unique minimal play. The 5 tunes of the EP are produced diligently mixing intricate click-clacking grooves that makes a solid base to deep and soulful under melodies. The result is a completely harmonic general feeling, a healthy mix of micro emotions drawn to bring our mind to a trip but to keep the will to dance all the way… our favourite.

Just in time to warm up your winter, Hell Yeah revisit the peerless recent Tsuki album from ambient and Balearic masters Tempelhof & Gigi Masin. Trancendental and dreamy drums characterise the new age ‘Corner Song’, which is the sound of laying back on a boat and bobbing up and down on gentle seas at sunrise. It’s organic and soothing to the max. The other original is ‘Flying Man’, a suspensory film that feels like floating amongst the clouds on a humid afternoon. Wordless vocals add a heavenly feel to the lush and all encompassing chords and pads and nothing sounds sweeter than being lost in this one. It is Corner Song that gets remixed by Good Timin’ and Running Back man Jex Opolis. Famous for his disco infused synth pop sound he is a master of his own musical world. His version is eight minutes of laid-back tropicalia. Slowly churning drums and knotted funk-bass prop it up as an eco-system of pops, clicks and hits add to the steamy and sensuous groove.
