IONIC Records makes its debut on Amsterdam Dance Event 2016 presenting five exclusive tracks from fresh young IONIC talents! From Future House tune “Flamingo” by Ariac (RUN DBN), Bigroom sounds by Bentfly and Luchese to pumping EDM sounds by Neuraum Munich resident Lenox, not to mention an exclusive remode by label-head Premeson. An impressive EP with hand-picked outstanding tunes by emerging artists you might hear of again very soon!
Since the label was founded by Greg Silver and Chico Chiquita back in 2009, it was always symbolizing the energy of powerful House Music. Now after 6 years of high quality Label Work, Artist Development and lifeblood, label head Chico finally put together 80 of the most important, best and some even forgotten gems of 120db Records.
The compilation starts with early classics from the label’s most successful artists Laserkraft 3D and Groovejuice, followed by the greatest artist development successes Le Shuuk or Hochanstaendig, up to current players of the German and international dance scene, such as Dario Rodriguez, Tim Royko, Mark Bale, Final DJs or Mynoorey.
Producer & DJ Groovejuice (who is part of Laserkraft 3D and a.k.a. OhMyBoy) astounded us with his hypnotic Electro-Swing track, built from sampled Jazz Piano and Krupa-styled snare drums, simply blew up our minds. The track’s promotional video got over 3.5 Million views on YouTube and is one of the best selling tracks of the label ever!
After 6 years, the time is right for some new interpretations: Patrick Hofmann (Tiger Records, RUN DBN, Seveneves) transfers the classic into contemporary Garage House, ready for all clubs and dance floors. Newcomer talent PROMI5E adds a nasty Future House-Bassline and creates a true monster of a remix! Last but not least, Lukas Greenberg (RIP) of Plastic City guarantees absolute quality in Deep- and Tech House, and delivers a groovy “Samba Edit” for underground DJs and friends of the cooler sounds.
Start the dance again – Café Prague is back!

IONIC RECORDS is the new movement in the family of 120dB Records, the label which developed and built up artists like Le Shuuk, Laserkraft 3D, or Premeson. Driven by the dynamics of the emerging electronic dance music scene, IONIC will provide a platform for both talented newcomers and extraordinary tunes with the same quality as all 120dB family releases.
There is certainly no way talking about the young German EDM scene without mentioning Timbo! He played with Avicii, Vicetone, or Tujamo on festivals such as Parookaville, Electric Love, Open Beatz, and of course his Electrisize homebase. As a producer, Timbo has released a series of successful tracks on renowned labels such as Tiger Records. He takes the next steps and delivers his extremely tempting festival tune “Playground” on IONIC.
120dB is very proud to welcome one of Germanys most important and talented producers and DJs: Tim Royko, born in Cologne, is one of the key figures of the German Electro House-scene, that brought out Star-DJs like Micha Moor, Thomas Gold, Deniz Koyu and Klaas by the end of the 2000s.He is a very versatile producer that already remixed the Who is Who of the german dance scene (like Micha Moor, Jean Elan, Patric La Funk & many more) and even collaborated with the legendary Todd Terry! Tim Royko’s solo productions and remixes appeared on labels like Spinnin’, Pacha Records, WePLAY Rec., Tiger Records, and RUN DBN, to name just a few, Peak-positions, like number 3 of the overall Beatport Charts and the Top 20 of German Dance Charts are his achievements so far. His latest track “Freakin’ Out” is an outstanding groovy Progressive House monster and a masterpiece of music production, and gets a second treatment by IONIC Records label founder, DJ and Producer Premeson (“Save Me”, Munich). It’s time to Freak Out!
