Bardo & Salazar’s latest EP reaches you at exactly the right time in the right place: warmth and summer dreams as far as you can hear. The first hike takes you fare above the valleys, high into the Swiss Alps, where legends and myths reside and magical Murgsee reflects the image of the gods as they listen to the two Zurich lads. Here, smitten by the magic, even the „Honey“ starts to „Hula“. Is it „Le Piff“ rising from the pipe and dancing in smoke arabesques across the mountain ridges? It doesn’t matter. And luckily the two have brought along their dear friend M.A., our newest family member… refining „Le Piff“ in his „Piff Paff Puff“ remix and transforming it, with „Spliff“, into a hypnotic after slam…
In true anniversary spirit, Frieda Musik presents its No. 10 issue. On top of that, we welcome three new artists into the Frieda Musik family: nephew Pasci, Mastra and Pablo. And furthermore, and fantastic as usual, a remix by Ordinary Subject.

Henry Sure – Studio Session EP (Frieda Musik)
With a mighty Büxe-shaking rumble, Frieda’s latest music is blowing quite a storm. The bass lines are weighing down and send a pleasant breeze across the dance floors of this world. On Frieda 008 you’ll also find Henry Sure’s Solo Debut, who’s showing his signature on three originals with distinct bass lines accentuated with persuasive beats. He also likes using vocals, beautifully woven into a percussive tapestry. Two remixes accompany the accomplished originals. The eponymous remix „Studio Session“ hails from Jørg, while „Sky Fall“ contains an interpretation of San Marco & M.A. Aunt Frieda as you know her: an EP for all events.
Surfing Leons – I See You EP (Homecoming Music)
For our first release of 2017 we have prepared a special 100% Belgian line up which includes two original tracks by Surfing Leons and stunning remixes by Fabrice Lig and Raw District. Our long time friend Mathieu Fonsny aka Surfing Leons is doing his debut on Homecoming with “I See You” and “Decadance” two tunes full of groove goodness. Belgian techno legend Fabrice Lig drops an amazing remix of “I See You” with his very own Detroit melodic and organic signature. Label heads Raw District are back on the remix duties with a strong tech house revision of “Decadance”.
The ways of the universe are unfathomable and keep reassembling into a harmonious whole. How else would you explain that Frieda Music 007 comes together just as one of its protagonist packs up his bags to leave our beloved living room behind for half a year? We don’t need to chase particles through a large hadron collider to understand it – it’s enough to launch the 4-tracker and let it roar with enjoyment. Fix and Foxy originally hail from Bardo & Salazar. Acting undercover, they compose the two title tracks on their very first release with much wit and a mighty groove. Foxy is being mixed by Are:Age and his tropical rhythms, freshly tuned into Frieda’s happy family. Fix gets his remix by label man Don Ramon, bringing his usual fat dance moments onto the floor.
