A bunch of wonderful and remarkable Tracks have been released over the last years on Plastic City. Play. Some of them have been placed on wellknown compilations and in the playlists of famous dj’s, some other tracks didn’t get the chance to show how beautiful they are.
So on this compilation we choose tracks from Zoe Xenia, Derek Marin, Matthew Hoag, Pav Parotte & Ryan Pamatmat, Junior Gee and many more where the very special high-quality sound of Plastic City and its artists is really obvious
The result is a really tasty selection of titles to which it is worthwhile to remember.
It’s Plastic City Revised Part 2
Lee Burton – Concrete Waves EP (Amam)
Lee Burton returns to the Amam imprint late July with the ‘Concrete Waves’ EP, featuring three original tracks and remixes from Paul Mad and The Magnecian.Greek producer Lefteris Kalabaks aka Lee Burton has been releasing material since 2010 via the likes of Athens based imprint Klik Records, Plastic City and of course Amam where he returns to here following a string of original productions for the label over the past few years.
Across the ‘Concrete Waves’ EP Burton delivers his signature striking production style with finesse and an inherently understated quality throughout, kicking things off is ‘Le Coq’ which lays its focus on weighty, low-slung rhythms, swirling dub echoes and wreathing subs. Up next is ‘Kepler’ which tips the focus over a deeper, more refined palette of sound with soft ethereal textures, shuffling drums and pulsating bass tones, Hungarian producer Paul Mad’s take on ‘Kepler’ follows and reshapes the original number into a raw, stripped-back cut solely focused on modulating percussion
Archie Hamilton – Works On Sunday EP (Fuse London)
Archie Hamilton unleashes the ‘Works On Sunday EP’ on Fuse London, kicking off with ‘Mind Blank’ – a kinetic slice of pure peak time goodness, the track kicks into a high gear right from the start with rolling percussion leading to the bass line which serves as the grooves motif.
The EPs vinyl only track ‘Works On Sunday’ switches gear, delving into deeper, headier territory with a more melodic leaning, an ethereal vocal snippet imbuing proceedings with a blissful feel whilst label staples Enzo Siragusa and Seb Zito take ‘Works on Sunday’ into a techier direction, toughening up the drums and roughing up the percussion on their remix.
Luca Bacchetti – Amazon (Endless)
Continually pushing back the boundaries of his comfort zone, Luca Bacchetti has always encouraged us to expect changes of direction and scene. Following last year’s acclaimed OVO EP he now releases AMAZON, his new single, once more full of surprises. Taking its cue from a memorable gig at the Lost Beach in Montañita, Equador it stands as an iconic symbol and, in this case, a tribute to the South American Continent. An incredible musical voyage spanning mystical, electronic and dreamlike dimensions which, like so much of his output, are inspired by and rooted in nature.
Crazy Sonic – Cuts / Assassin (Tronic)
Next up on Tronic release number 183 is a double tracker from Crazy Sonic consisting of two powerful groovers. First track “Cuts” is a euphoric one, solid drum work, steel pipe hits and a feeling of bohemia which blends in with metallic stabs and a airy melody to complete it and the second track “Assassin” is a burner with a hypnotic glacial melodic game to keep your mind locked till the end. Truly honest and into the point release!
„Thoughtful Machines“ is the third album by South Africa based music producer Placid Larry alias Daniel Ray van Zyl.
Daniel has always been fascinated with electronic music and the powerful effect it has on contemporary society. This new album encompasses the gratitude that he has for being able to express himself so vividly digitally.
Mindful of the fact that understanding and embracing different cultures is paramount in human evolution, the 12 tracks on „Thoughtful Machines“ are a liberation of these ideals which take the listener on an adventure across the world – from the calming influences of the East to the formulaic repetitions of the West resting on the African soul from which this music stems.
Placid Larry indulges us in a contemporary, worldly and optimistic easy listening collection of musical stories – full of thoughts, ideas and creativity…
After their critically acclaimed number 1-CHART-album „Preachers of the night“ POWERWOLF are back with their the new masterpiece „Blessed & possessed“. The density of hits and anthems on their sixth epic is nearly unchristianly – firing hit after hit. The Mystic and bombastic title track “Blessed & possessed” enthralls the listener from the beginning and leads to a top-flight direction, by presenting metal hymns with emotiveness and pure magic. POWERWOLF are bursting with imagination, they have cultivated their well proven trademarks and deliver first class Power Metal („Dead until dark“), the finest Speed Metal („Christ & combat“), great Hard Rock trips („Sacramental sister“) and even orchestral madness („Let there be night“).

The Box is a project born of three prodigious musicians desire to explore new sounds and fresh approaches. Stefano Onorati, Walter Paoli and Andrea Guzzoletti, each highly acclaimed and vastly experienced musicians in their own right combine in perfect harmony to create this forward thinking collaboration. “Sketches Of Pain” is a meet-up of two cultures which have been at war with each other for thousands of years. Music unites where the world of Men divides! Here the magical voice of Egyptian singer Ahmad Elsawy can weave its spell. Intelligent electronica, ethnic and acoustic instruments, all join together once more to blend two worlds into one universal language. 3 great remixes: Luca Bacchetti, Jon Charnis, and Eduardo De La Calle.
It’s the summer of colors, it is the summer of emotions! So where could this joy and euphoria feel better than at one of the Farbgefühle-Events in Germany?
Now for the first time these events are presented with their own anthem called “When I See You”, created by a truly unique triumvirate: Tour-Resident DJ & producer Coco Fay and successful producer Brockman (of Basti M & Brockman) have been producing together since 2013, their tracks “Run This Shit” and “You & Me” appeared on some big compilations like” Pacha Summer”,”Club Hits Only” and “In The Club”. This year, the two teamed up with singer-songwriter Lenny Pojarov for the official 2015 anthem. The song “When I See You” is dedicated to all the fans and visitors of the Farbgefühle festivals and is a big “thank you” for their support. With 120dB Records they also found a label with very high quality standards, a good nose for talents… and a gold record!
“When I See You” comes with a Main Festival version, where the blending of three contributors between classical piano, catchy pop song and electronic progressive house sound stands out perfectly. They are joined by two driving Future House remixes from Munich’s guarantee of quality house music BK Duke (Pacha Records) and the hottest newcomers Takedown (120dB), plus a contemporary Deep House remix by Berlin’s Andree Wischnewski. As a special treat Lenny Pojarov sets a sensational acoustic version for balmy summer evenings on top.
Convince yourself live and in color at this year’s Farbgefühle Germany tour (The Color Festival)!
